Decades of Blame

This is the second collaboration I have finished with AppLe of DeaD. For this one we shared project files. All of the riffs and patterns were created by him. I substituted a couple of instruments, added lyrics/vocals and did the final mastering.

Here are some links to his work. Please check out his great instrumentals:

decades of blame etched in my brain
my conditioning
such a shame it'll be for nothing
today I woke eyes closed and old
here I sit patiently sick
my head to thick to end this quick
you'd think I'd learn in time
after all the times that I've been scolded
and waited in the line to have my
promises sold and didn't think
to slow for a moment only to say
I'm going the wrong way

I need an answer
I want to live before I spoil
no need to hold those things
of make believe to make me whole

decades of blame forged in steel
my security
such a shame it's not for real
no one is there to protect me
here I sit I whine and bitch
I blame your god and I blame the rich
you'd think I'd learn by now
to step outside of my house and to draw
the line at what I'm willing
to allow to be taken from me
and be loud so they hear me say
I'm doing it my way

I need an answer
I want to live before I spoil
no need to hold those things
of make believe to make me whole

set me free
or drown me in soil
